Here’s what happens when you book this tour.
If you have rain in the forecast, this tour is the perfect 'hiking substitute' since the machines are fully enclosed and climate controlled. We ride rain or shine, and more often than not, have more fun in the rain!
There are not a lot of options in The Gorge for children. While insurance prohibits us from bringing car seats, we do allow children 9-12 that are legally allowed to ride without a car seat.
There is such a thing as thrilling adventure that comes with a level of safety that anyone can do it. This tour will make you gasp, but can be driven safely by anyone who has a driver's license. No prior SXS experience needed.
The only thing that will make you smile bigger than seeing cliff lines over 90' tall that go on for miles & miles, will be the look on your friends faces when they see them too.

With over 4 years of guide experience, and a lifetime of knowledge of the Gorge, our expert guide helps groups maximize their fun together. Here's what you get.
A fully enclosed Kawasaki Ridge Crew off-road vehicle, equipped with heat and AC. Stay dry & comfortable throughout your tour. They even come with a windshield wiper to make sure you don't miss a single view!
A walkie talkie (the kids love these) & bluetooth speaker to learn about what you're driving by as you visit the most secret spots in The Gorge. No need to stop & get out every few minutes.
All types of terrain including cliff faces that are impossible to explain until you see them for yourself, a few big hill climbs, and creek crossings that make incredible photo opportunities.
Adventure for the whole family. Bring up to 7 adults and still have room for a small cooler, backpack, and your phone to capture photos throughout your tour.

No guesswork. No long lines. Just 3 simple steps to adventure—right from your doorstep.

Your expert guide will pick you up beside The Holler (white silo-house) and will take you on an off-road tour like no other, into the most remote parts of the Gorge.

Splash through creeks & climb to mountain overlooks most visitors never get see. You will learn the history of The Gorge and the land that you're driving on throughout your drive and stop and get some incredible photos of the whole group.

Each ride is roughly 2 hours long. You will be driving for most of it, stopping along the way for photos & stories about The Gorge. After it's done, you'll be dropped off at the initial meet-up spot, but with a lot more smiles than when you left.

You’ll get a clean, safe Kawasaki Ridge Crew side-by-side, fueled up and ready to go, along with all safety equipment needed for your group, as well as a bluetooth speaker and walkie-talkies to communicate with the other machine. Take off just beside the white silo-house (just steps from your door if you're staying at The Silos). Maximize your time in the machine, guaranteeing smiles on every face in the family.

The only thing more impressive than the cliffs will be your friends & family's reaction to them.

Bring your phone to snap some photos as you drive the SXS through creeks & over rocks.

As you drive around you'll learn about the geological structures, the oil populations, and even see some Hatfield-McCoy history, firsthand.

No, we can't actually guarantee an emotion, but we can say that we've yet to find someone sad after taking this tour.

Hi, I'm Kim, I've been taking people on back country side-by-side tours in Red River Gorge since 2021.
There's truly no better feeling than watching people's face light up after you splash through a creek and then pop over a hill to see the most beautiful, and majestic, cliff-line this state has to offer. If you're looking for something fun to do with your group while visiting, I'd love to show you things you'd never be able to see otherwise.
This tour has so much history, and so many different sites to see. You won't be disappointed.

Got a Question?
We've got you covered.
We recommend long-sleeve shirts and long pants. Dress according to the weather & bring extra layers like a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt in case of weather changes. And if you want anything to eat or drink, bring a backpack with water, snacks, bug spray, and sunscreen.
Yes. It will make you nervous in specific places, but the entire route is safe, and family friendly. You will follow a guide, and listen to their guidance as you drive through creeks and up steep hills.
We get up to about 20 MPH, which feels like you're flying on the back roads. This tour is more about site-seeing and history than it is about speed. Even at low speeds, there is no shortage of adrenaline throughout the trip.
To ensure the safety of all guests and the integrity of our adventure, we have established a few requirements for this tour. All drivers must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Any driver carrying a minor passenger must be at least 25 years old.
Every participant must be of sound mind and sober during their ride.
Safety is our primary concern; helmets are provided for each rider. You are welcome to bring your own provided they are DOT-approved. For your comfort and protection, we strongly recommend that all guests wear close-toed shoes for the duration of the tour. Please note that for the safety of our animals and yours, pets are not allowed on our excursions.
Group travelers of up to 7 people, families, solo travelers, rock climbers looking to get acquainted, history buffs, thrill seekers, and more. If you have heart issues, are under 8 years old, or get nauseous easily, this tour is not for you.
Ultimately clothing options are up to you, but we strongly recommend close-toed shoes, sunglasses, a light jacket & clothes you don't mind getting dirty. The machines have heat and AC, but in the winter you should bring a backpack with a jacket or other layers in case it's cold when you get out.
The tour is 2 hours long. The entire process takes 2.5-3 hours including initial check-in and drop off. Tip: If everyone signs their waivers, and reads instructions for what to pack before arriving, then you spend a lot more time on the trail than preparing to leave.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality experiences, tailored to our guests. Because our tours are highly specialized and we maintain limited availability, we have instituted the following policies to protect the quality of our service and the schedules of our expert guides. No reschedules allowed within 7 days of your ride. There is a $50 change fee to cover administrative costs for reschedules. To ensure your adventure starts on time, please be ready at your designated meeting point at least 30-minutes prior to your tour start time; late arrivals may result in a shortened experience or forfeiture without a refund. Finally, your safety is our absolute priority. We reserve the right to decline any participant whose behavior, health, or mental condition impedes the tour’s operation. If a participant arrives intoxicated or is unable to safely operate the equipment, their seat will be cancelled and no refund will be given. If, for any reason, there is no machine or guide available the date of your tour we will do our best to reschedule first. If that is not possible, we will refund your tour.
Don’t keep guessing or waiting. Get everything you need to create core memories with your friends & family—starting right now.
